SPRING/SUMMER 2023 RECAP A ‘GREEN’ OBSESSION One if the biggest trend stories in SS23 has been the emergence of new ‘green’ inspired fragrance stories. From darker greens, especially moss, to fresh greens, green woods and green vegetables – there are a whole host of new ingredients to celebrate nature. WELLBEING EVOLUTION Wellbeing has moved on to be about mood and motivation linked to scent. Aromatherapy styles and essential oils are still evident, but new ingredients are being explored to create a specific vibe and energy. FRUITY = HAPPINESS Sunshine inspired fragrances have been a huge hit this year as consumers embrace joy, happiness and positivity through citrus scents. Lots of bright orange, Amalfi lemon and yuzu. This trend also encapsulates the ongoing trend for beverage inspired fragrances – which are becoming more ‘flavourful’ and fruitier than ever.
